I can't believe it's almost the end of the year!!! I would seem like it just began, until you think about all of the growth and wonderful memories we made this year. Your children have amazed me with their ability to push beyond their limits, their cooperation and compassion for each other, and their adorable personalities. I will miss them SO very much. That's why I teach 2nd grade- I can still see them progress for the next 3 years!

Wednesday, June 7: Field Day!
Raindate is June 14, but it looks like it will be "partly sunny" and in the 50s and lower 60s in the morning. Not bad!
Field Day Lunch:
The cafeteria needs to know in advance if your child is ordering lunch on Wednesday. If you are packing your child their lunch, that's great. If your child will be ordering lunch, they need to tell me tomorrow what their order will be. This is the lunch offering from the cafeteria:
- Bagel lunch,
- turkey
- peanut butter
- peanut butter and jelly sandwich. All bag lunches with popcorn, carrot bag, fresh fruit or craisins.
Please remember for Field Day Wednesday:
- Yellow shirt
- Sunblock (apply BEFORE school)
- Insect repellent
- Sneakers
- Snack (no nuts please)
- Water bottle
- Baseball cap
Friday, June 9: Stringed Instrument Demonstration
5th graders will come to our classroom to perform a few pieces with the violin, viola, cello, and bass. These are all instruments your child will have the opportunity to play as a part of a school ensemble in third grade. Please ask your child about this.
Monday, June 12 5:30PM School Picnic and Book Fair
Our class will visit the Book Fair during school on the 12th as well. You can send cash, or we can write down the books they wish to buy and send home the list that night. Hope to see you there! Raindate is Tuesday, June 13.
Tuesday, June 20: Move-Along Day
Your child will meet their third grade teacher. Your child will come home with a letter from her and a class list for next year's class. Please look for it.
Wednesday, June 21: Last Day of School
Report card will come home with your child.
