March is going out like a Lamb- but what a lion it was!

Quick update:

For you who have too much to read, you will enjoy this one… short and to the point!

Sharing will wrap up this week- if your child has not shared please talk with them about their name.  Fascinating discussions!

Conferences also wrap up this week.  I have so enjoyed talking with all of you, and look forward to implementing our plans for the rest of the year.

Spring Planting begins this week!! Jessica Polizzoti and Beth Rothschild will be helping plant seeds in the classroom this Thursday morning. A sure sign of Spring!!!

If anyone wants to help out in the gardens, let me know… there is work going on this Friday (yes, Good Friday) and next (April 6).  Many hands make light work!

We are beginning our research unit on Continents of the World this week, and in science we are anxiously awaiting the hatching of our chrysalids in the classroom!

Finally, we are planning our 2nd of 3 field trips to The Butterfly Place in Westford MA for April 13.  We can only take 4 chaperones so sign up right away if you are interested. A link to the permission slip is HERE.

Happy Spring!

Mid-March News

Oh Dear- Another Nor’easter! It was so good to see the children today, but alas we have another storm keeping us from our time in the classroom.  Ugh!  We hope you are all staying warm, dry and free from tree damage!  Here is some light reading...

Conferences: I have SO enjoyed meeting with those of you who have come in, and will be ready when the snow settles to meet with the rest of you.  Your children have been working so hard and we are very proud of them! Check this link for the Schedule.

Environmental Presentation: I was also so proud of the kids in our assembly last week, and so glad that many of you could join us, including Ariana’s 2-week old baby brother Kais!  Here is the link in case you could not be there:

The students are becoming so clear and strong in using their voice to advocate for change.  You can see all of the PSA’s on the left side of our blog.

Sharing:  We are enjoying the information your child is sharing about their name… and they are showing such pride in these stories.  I hope you enjoy this process together.  Please send this in before the end of March.

Spring in the Gardens! We have many engaging activities planned to get our gardens ready for spring!  We could use any and all volunteers, so check out our Garden Page for opportunities.  Save the Date!  We are looking for families to join us for even an hour on Saturday, April 7 for our Soil Prep Day- between 10 and 12 (or 1) and we hope to be putting together a Brand New Greenhouse that day also!

Thanks again for all of your support as we travel on this educational journey together! Please contact us with any question whatsoever!
