We are launching two new units this week:

Geometry and
·
Continent Research (as an integrated Writing/
Social Studies unit).
You will be hearing more about these in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile students did a great job on their Opinion Writing
pieces, and on the 2-digit Addition and Subtraction unit in math just before the break... I will be
sharing the papers and assessments with you at our upcoming conference.

particular you want to review. We have
20 minutes and I have added a 5- minute transition time just in case J
We had several exciting events just before vacation: Valentine’s Day, the 100th Day of
school, and the Lunar New Year celebration.
Things are much calmer now!!
Finally, last week I attended a School Gardening Conference
put on by the Mass Horticultural Society.
It was very informative. If you would
like to volunteer in any way in our gardening efforts, please let me know asap
and I’ll put you on our Garden Team email list.
We will be planting seeds by next
week in room 6! It’s a sure sign that spring is coming!
Please continue to send in snow pants, boots, mittens and
hats with your child... they must have these to play in the snow and to stay
dry on the playground! Thank you!
Finally, this Friday is “Funky Friday”, a spirit day
initiated by the HH Student Council. We
will send more information later in the week.
