Mid June

I can't believe we are in our last week of school! Where did the time go? I love this time of year when it feels like a true family in our classroom.  We are so blessed to look around and see curious minds, wonderful skills in all academic areas, and solid friendships blossoming.

First, here are the dates and information you need to know this week:

* Field Day tomorrow, Wednesday June 12.  Wear Yellow, apply sunscreen at home, and bring a hat and water bottle!
* Planting Days in the HH Gardens: Thursday and Friday, June 13 & 14
* Move Along Day Monday June 17.  Please remind your child they will see ALL of their friends each day next year at recess and lunch, and make new friends as well.
* Last Day Tuesday, June 18.  Wednesday schedule- release at 2:05.

Now for a few highlights from the last few weeks:

North End field trip:  Thanks to all of the parent chaperones! It was a beautiful day.

Open House Friday, June 7.  (I remembered to take pictures at our planned time of 5:00 pm, but not in the morning.  If anyone has pictures from this time please let me know!) I also enjoyed seeing many of you at the HH Picnic!

Our class worked very hard to plant, transplant, and tend to the delicate seedlings that finally produced an amazing Spring Harvest today!  Jen Pearlman has posted pictures on our HH Facebook page, but here are a couple of treasures from the harvesting:

Finally, I want to thank all of you for helping us make this a memorable, successful year for your children.  It has been an amazing journey of discovery, hard work, smiles and laughter.  They will all have a special place in our hearts as we watch them fly off like the butterflies to new heights and adventures! Please keep in touch as you travel through life, and may all find peace, joy and purpose.
